English: Villa called Omphale whose owner is the Parisian actress, Amélie Diéterle (1871-1941), National road from Antibes to Golfe-Juan, city of Vallauris, in the Alpes-Maritimes department. The villa owes its name to one of the great roles of the artist, the queen Omphale, in the opéra bouffe, The Labors of Hercules of Gaston Arman de Caillavet and Robert de Flers, in 1901. Amélie Diéterle is a French actress born in Strasbourg on February 20, 1871 and died in Cannes on January 20, 1941. She was legitimated in Paris in 1892 by Captain Louis Laurent, Knight of the Legion of Honor. Amélie Diéterle married in Vallauris on June 16th, 1930 with André Simon (1877-1965). Amélie Diéterle plays mainly at the Théâtre des Variétés in Paris during the Belle Époque.
