Précisions ou commentaires :
Sent by a nurse, Margaret Ripley, to her mother back in England.

As far as I can tell (corrections and additions welcome) this reads: "5.2.15 2am Many thanks for letter received today. Had a nice walk outside this morning went to bed at 11. Slept well in spite of traffic & noise of all sorts - sister hardly slept at all. She is really better & [???] better at last. Most lovely sky this morning worth being up all night for. Going straight to bed this morning. Things not very happy here & not working smoothly it seems quite hopeless to do anything for foreigners looking forward to april & release scheme am utter failure. Love Mar"

We've already heard how she dislikes Bergues, and here she is writing at 2am in the morning no doubt after a long shift, but just a few months into her period in France and there is almost a sense of dispair.
